Tsakane Mall

Tsakane Mall spent 67 minutes giving back to the Tsakane Old Age Home and putting into practice Nelson Mandela’s legacy of love, care and dedication to others. For the celebrations Tsakane Mall donated cleaning material and shoes and socks to the 30 residents at the Tsakane Age Home as well as cleaning the home.

As a continuation to Mandela Day, Tsakane Mall donated kitchen utilities requested by the Care Centre such as (pots, kettles, urn etc.) on the 21 August 2018.

Tsakane Mall donated a total of 80 pair of shoes and backpacks to disadvantaged learners from Sizuzile Primary School and 20 pairs of shoes and backpacks to Thuthukanisizwe Primary School. Other items donated were school shirts, trousers and stationery sets.

Tsakane South African Police Services [SAPS] hosted an Anti-Bullying workshop which raised awareness about bullying for grade 8 students chosen from eight troubled schools from Tsakane. Approximately 200 pupils attended the workshop including the Station Commander Colonel Johannes Maas, SAPS Ekurhuleni Sector Officers and educators.

Tsakane Mall sponsored beverages (water), sanitary towels, back packs and stationery sets to the students who attended the workshop.

As part of Tsakane Malls ‘Making a Difference Campaign’ we donated food parcels to disadvantaged beneficiaries identified by the Geluksdal Child Welfare. [Four families benefited from the campaign].

On Wednesday, February 13, 2019 Tsakane Mall donated a total of 80 pairs of shoes to disadvantaged learners from Menzi Primary School. Grades ranging from 1 to 7 benefited from the initiative.

Tsakane Mall donated 65 pairs of shoes and stationery sets, in addition Standard Bank (Tsakane Branch) donated 15 pairs of school shoes, Décor Express Store donated school socks and Tsakane SAPS donated school uniforms.  

Tsakane Mall sponsored the Greater Brakpan Business Chamber with office equipment which included four brand new laptops and an office printer.

To assist the community of Tsakane against the fight against COVID-19, the centre made hand washing basins that were placed at the entrance to the Mall. Free soap was also provided so that each person that entered the mall was able to sanitise effectively.

To assist the community of Tsakane Mall in the fight against COVID-19, a hand-sanitising stand was made and placed at the entrance of the mall to ensure customers were able to sanitise effectively before entering the centre.
