Mandela Day 2020
In honour of Mandela Day 2020, Thorntree Shopping Centre donated blankets, food parcels, masks and hand sanitiser to the Ntuthukho Stimulation Centre. The centre is a local NPO for children living with disabilities.

COVID-19 Hand Washing Basins
To assist the community of Thorntree Plaza in the fight against COVID-19, the centre made hand washing basins that were placed at the entrance to the Mall. Free soap was also provided so that each person that entered the mall was able to sanitise effectively.
