Olievenhout Plaza
Olievenhout Jakalasi Street Bridge
In July 2019 Olievenhout Plaza proudly opened an 85m long multi-cell culvert bridge. The bridge forms an extension to Jakalasi Street, which crosses the Blue Hills Spruit. It will provide access to the existing Olievenhout Plaza and was built as part of service level agreements with the City of Tshwane.
The project commenced in January 2019 and saw total job creation of 116 positions including general labour, concrete and form work, plumbing, paving and electricians.
Masks for Good Distribution
In partnership with #MasksforGood, Olievenhout Plaza distributed 5 000 free washable masks to the community of Olievenhoutbosch. The distribution co-incided with the April grant pay-out dates to prioritize distribution to the elderly and most vulnerable members of the community.
COVID-19 Hand Washing Basins
To assist the community of Olievenhoutbosch against the fight against COVID-19, the centre made hand washing basins that were placed at the entrance to the Mall. Free soap was also provided so that each person that entered the mall was able to sanitise effectively.
CPF Donation
In order to show appreciation for the Olievenhout CPF and their assistance throughout 2021, Olievenhout Plaza donated reflector vests to members of the forum.
