Jane Furse Plaza

To celebrate the start of the 2022 school year, Jane Furse Plaza donated school uniforms and stationery to the pupils at Arethabeng Primary School.

In June 2021 to celebrate Youth Day, Jane Furse hosted an empowerment competition for young designers. Local designers had the opportunity to submit two proposed designs for the Miss Jane Furse contestants to win. The winning designers received an industrial sewing machine, an overlocker machine and a domestic machine in order to improve and increase thier business and rate of production.

The Maretlagadi Welfare Centre was selected as the Mandela Day beneficiary for Jane Furse in 2021. They received groceries every month for four months to try and ease the burden of feeding their residents.

In November 2020 we sponsored the pre-school graduation ceremony for Little Angels Pre-School. This was for the 4/5 year olds moving onto Grade R in 2021. 27 children received gift packs to celebrate the achievement of graduating.

In honour of Mandela Day 2020 Jane Furse Plaza donated 100 food parcels for the elderly and child headed households in the area. 400 blankets were also distributed to the community. 

In celebration of the start of the 2019 school year, we donated shirts, jerseys, socks and school ties to 29 learners from child headed households within our local community.

Groceries, blankets, cleaning material and paint were donated to the Makgakaborwa Disability centre in honour of Mandela Day. Members of staff from the Plaza, the traffic department and the municipality all assisted with repair and maintenance work at the disability centre on the day.
